Perspectives Israel is a new platform for enabling emerging leaders and activists dealing with the Arab-Israeli conflict to engage with the Jewish-Israeli spectrum of the conflict.
Dealing effectively and constructively with the conflict requires a deep and nuanced understand of the intricate human mosaic surrounding the conflict. Perspectives gives its participants the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the multiple narratives and viewpoints that exist within the Jewish–Israeli spectrum.
Containing a kaleidoscope of viewpoints, Perspectives does not advocate any particular solution to the conflict, but it does promote the values of dialogue, understanding, and empathy along with critical thinking. Participants leave the program with a more nuanced conception of the complex challenges facing Israel and its people and an appreciation of diverse proactive ways in constructively confronting the conflict in their own lives. Perspectives ran its first study tour in March 2010 with 14 students from eight post college Israel study programs.
